The initiative of Friends of Downtown Sanford is to revitalize downtown Sanford. The goals are to build community connections, revitalize the business environment, and draw visitors and prospective residents to Sanford.
The mission of the Friends of Downtown Sanford is to foster a community that our families can be proud of. Keep Sanford a place where we can raise our children and where our children will want to stay or return to as adults. We want to encourage business development and involvement with community events. Transform the downtown area and make it more family and visitor friendly. Facilitate events to bring people to our wonderful city. Help with projects to promote economic revitalization and share our values with the greater community.
Friends of Downtown Sanford is an initiative under Strategies for a Stronger Sanford, a 501 (c) 3 structure (non profit classification) to act as a fiscal sponsor.
